Getting Rid Of Scars With Home Remedies
Scar on the skin is a common problem and may occur due to various reasons. Once a scar is formed, it is very difficult to remove it and if left unattended for long will become permanent. However, it may be made less visible with some simple remedies which can speed up the process.
Getting Rid Of Scars With Home Remedies :
- Take a ripe banana, peel and mash it. Apply the pulp all over the face
and leave it for 10 minutes and wash regularly. It is an effective home remedy for scars.
- Take a few mint leaves and crush them and extract its juice. Apply it all over your face. It’s a very good remedy for spots, blemishes and helps lighten scars.
- Drink plenty of water to keep your skin healthy, it also helps to remove all the toxins from the body and helps lighten old scars.
- Avoid excessive amounts of sugar and take a well balanced diet containing plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Include good source of Vitamin K in your diet. Take green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, green cabbage, turnip, greens, broccoli, tomatoes, liver and lean meats and dairy products.
- Do not wash face with soap and water. Wash it in the morning and night with lukewarm salty water.
- Rub raw garlic on the scars at least 2 to 3 times a day, helps minimize scars.
- Powdered neem leaves when mixed with water and applied as a pack helps all sorts of skin problems and very effective in removing scars.
- A mixture of sandalwood paste helps reduce the intensity of scars if started early.
- Rubbing your skin with ice cubes at least thrice a day helps to tighten the skin and lighten scars.
- You can use cucumber and lemon juice on your scars. This is another good home remedy for scars
- Vitamin E oil when applied on the scarred skin may do wonders for your skin.
- To prevent deepening of the scars, apply aloe Vera gel or cod liver oil on the scars regularly .
- Applying cocoa butter, tea tree oil or honey is also a good remedy in getting rid of the scars.
- Put 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil on a cotton ball and apply on the scars regularly.
- Make green tea, soak a cotton ball and apply on the scar to help it heal faster.

So cleansing is essential for our skin, if not done regularly it will lead to numerous skin problems. These cleansers are not only inexpensive but also healthy for the skin. Here are a few cleansing creams that can be made at home :
Cucumber Cleansing Cream:
Cucumber Juice - 1/2 Cup
Beeswax - 1/2 Cup
Olive Oil - 1/2 Cup
Sodium Benzoate - 1 Tsp. (optional)
Almond Oil - 2 Tbsp.
Melt the beeswax and add all the ingredients except the benzoate to it . When cool add the benzoate and store in fridge.
Rose Petal Cleansing Cream:
Rose Petals 1 Cup
Water 2 Cups
Lemon Juice 1 Cup
Sodium Benzoate 1/2 Tsp. (optional)
Pour boiling water over the rose petals and let it rest for a few hours and when cool strain add lemon juice and benzoate and store in fridge.
Oatmeal Cleansing Cream:
Oatmeal 1 Tbsp.
Yogurt 1 Tbsp.
Benzoate 1 Tsp.
Blend all together well and apply on face and wash after 20 minutes
Natural Nech Care Beauty
Your neck should be treated with as much tender care as your face. If you neglect your neck, it will show your age, no matter how marvellous your facial skin is. Neck should be kept as clean as your face and nourishing creams you use for your face should also be used for your neck. The appearance of neck depends on the way you hold your head. The correct posture is to hold your head high and chin up. If you have a faulty posture, the result will be double chin.
Neck needs some special treatment:
- Whenever you wash your face wash your neck also.
- If you apply a foundation and powder on your face don’t neglect your neck otherwise there will be sharp contrast between the two and your overall appearance will be spoilt.
- Cream your neck and throat daily at night with upward motion with a good nourishing cream.
- Lemon juice acts as a natural cleanser for your skin. Dip a cotton ball in lemon juice and wipe neck area.
- Massage natural Aloe Vera gel to get rid of the impurities on your skin.
- Yogurt mixed with oatmeal and massaged helps remove dead cells.
- Cucmber juice when applied and left to dry for an hour before washing will make neck skin smooth and soft.
- Almond powdered and mixed with milk also makes a good pack for a soft supple neck.
- Melt equal quantities of butter, lanolin, olive oil and water over a double boiler and store in fridge and massage regularly.
- For whitening and softening the skin of the neck, make a skin tonic by mixing 3 teaspoons of borax powder, 3 teaspoons of glycerin and 1 cup of rose water. Mix all and store in fridge and daily massage for a few minutes before bath.
- For a nourishing homemade overnight cream, mix equal parts of lanolin and butter. Beat them throughly in a double sauce pan over boiling water and store in fridge. Before retiring to bed massage on the neck and shoulder region for a few minutes and leave it overnight.
A few simple exercises to keep your neck in good shape :
- Breathe slowly and bring your neck to rest on the chest. Then raise your head slowly and bend it backwards as far as you can. Repeat it at least ten times daily.
- Breathe deeply and turn your neck on your left side as far as you can without moving your shoulders and body. Then turn on to your right side the same way. Repeat this exercise also ten times daily.
Home made Facial Mask
Face mask for dry skin
1. Take 1 tbsp olive oil and mix with 2 tbsp of fresh cream, leave it on the face for 10 minutes and then wash your face with warm water.
2. Mix 1 tbsp of honey with 15 drops of orange juice and 1 tbsp of fuller’s earth and add 1 tbsp of rose water. Mix well and apply on the face, wash off after 10 miuntes.

Ingredients Needed: 2-3 large carrots
4 1/2 tablespoons honey
Directions:
Cook carrots, then mash. Mix with honey. Apply gently to the skin, wait 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.
Glowing Facial Mask

All you need is:
1 tbsp fuller's earth
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp mashed papaya
Mix and put on face for 20 minutes then rinse off.
Honey Facial Mask
Perhaps the best facial mask is honey.
Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes.
Rinse off with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores.
Use once a week.

Ingredients Needed:
* 1 tsp plain yogurt (I chose Balkan Style)
* the juice of 1/4 of an orangeStir to mix and then dip fingers into mixture and smooth onto face. The sensation is both cool and relaxing. Leave on for a five minutes and then rinse. If you are feeling sluggish, this is the perfect mask for you.
